? Punta Cana - Late October Weather

Hello all,

Taking a trip to Punta Cana this weekend and I see there is a 30%
chance of rain/thunderstorms throughout the weekend.  If it rains, can
I expect a wash out, or do the storms blow through in an hour or two,
leaving sunshine behind?
