I was there two years ago and enjoyed it very much. Our room was on the 3rd floor and even with the tree tops. Most of the units are actually in among the trees. Its is almost a jungle setting. From our balcony we could see a variety of multicoloured birds. At that time the shuttle ran to the beach every 20 minutes. The resort has a restaurant and bar at the beach. During the day it served a light lunch plus drinks and in the evening it was a specialty restaurant. There was no decent snorkleing in the immediate area. However, we were told that there was a small Coral Reef in the vicinity of PLaya del Carmen. We didn,t see it. They also had exchange privaleges with the sister resort in Cancun. We took the local transportation and had lunch, used ther pool and also could have drinks. Of Course that was two years. It is built on the edge of a golf course. Certain tour packages included green fees although our package did not. I seldom golf anyway.
