We went to Aventura Spa in August of 2002 and had a wonderful time. The grounds, service, and rooms at the resort are first class. We were not impressed with most of the restaurants, except the Mexican Restaurant. The have a long way to go. The price was really good, I don't know what it would translate to in Canadian Dollars, but we spent a week, including airfare and transfers for about $3100 USD. There were unlimited tours, we took three, and if you want to see pre-Columbian Ruins, it was a steal. You also could snorkel right off the "beach" in the lagoon. We also received $50 each of spa services. We each had a massage. Hope this helps.
