You cant go backwards on a RTW ticket

What may be a better option is a return ticket to Australia
with stopovers in India and someplace you can book a trip to
Vietnam , probably Thailand.

I suggest you try a good travel agent rather than trying to
do this through the web or one of the big high street chains

Personally I'd give Trailfinders a call.
