You have a couple misconceptions I think I can clear up. As far as Kids, the Kea Lani (at least lately) is catering to much more families with kids than the Four Seasons, which tends to cater to the older FIT crowd with no children. As for the best hotel, the majority opinion here on Maui is that it's neither the Kea Lani, which is owned and operated now by the Fairmont chain, or the Four Seasons is the "best". That would generally be understood by most to be the Wailea Hyatt Regeancy Resort and Spa, curiously right next door to the Four Seasons. It's not even close, the Hyatt IS a tad more pricey than either of the resorts you mention, but as you said, if cost is no option, the Hyatt is considered superior. The Hyatt does have more traffic because it's larger, and it runs a nightclub in the lobby where a lot of young locals attend, but as far as the facilities, the pools, the grounds, and of course the world-renowned Spa facility, I'd say they are a notch above either the Four Seasons or the Kea Lani. You have picked one of the best times of year, because on that side of the island tends to be very hot during the summer, but in March it's not real hot yet, and the brunt of our rainy season will be over. Being born and raised here I'm definitely biased, because Maui is the best, and I congratulate you on your good sense on skipping Oahu and the big city of Honolulu. Hope this helps. Congratulations, and I know you'll love it. ALOHA Reply to group (Unsolicited e-mail is deleted from the server unread if it comes from anyone not already in my addressbook. I'll never even see it)
