Hi, Depending on your tastes, we've always found Holiday Inn Express's in the UK to be reliable: www.basshotels.com Express By Holiday Inn LUTON-HEMEL London Road off junction 9 of M1 Flamstead ST. ALBANS, AL3 8HT UNITED KINGDOM Tel: 44-01582-841332 Fax: 44-01582-842486 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Goes for about £65 w/ breakfast. In my experience, B&B's can be fairly hit and miss --- I've had some great ones and some bad ones, too. Although personal interaction with the B&B owners can be unforgettable, I can truly appreciate the professional, albeit detached, relationalship with the hotel staff. Recent B&B quote, "I know you are going to dinner at 11pm, but make sure to be here by midnight, because we lock the screen door at midnight" Dictating when I can come and go reminds me of living with my parents! I realize this is religious discussion, so your mileage/opinion/etc may vary.
