Hostel reservations?? Unless you are arriving in the middle of a major
festival this is not worth the bother. Just try to arrive in the morning if
at all possible - in the evening it is much harder to find an affordable and
convenient place to stay except in accommodation-glut cities like London.
You'll always find something but you might spend more than you hoped the
first night.
