Sorry for the cross post but collecting isn't my "thing" & my wife isn't Usenet literate. Anyway, I am trying to identify a coin bank. It is about 8" tall. It is a figure of an older man, w/ white mustache and hair, walking cane, pipe (which he is holding), red double-breasted coat with golden buttons & black collar and cuffs, black pants (w/ a red stripe) & shoes, and a black cap with a button on top. He has the over all look of a train conductor. His hat has the initials "RH" (rail head?). On the bottom is a small gold-foil sticker that says "collegiate" in script & "painted by hand" and "Japan" in block letters. If anyone can identify this item, or can point me to a text or website where I can look, I would really appreciate it. I will check this thread or please email me (remove the EXTRA from my email address.) Thanks! Bill in AZ
