I agree that the scoring format would have nothing to do with most quick
matches.  I have seen best of three side out matches over in 20 to 25
minutes.  The scoring format isn't a gift to an extremely overmatched team.

I know in Illinois the state high school association wants to stay with the
best of three format instead of best of five that the national federation is
recommending even though they use rally scoring in both.   I am not sure how
much leeway state associations get in modifying the national federation
rules.  Anyone else know?
