I did IMCDA on a P2K this past June. It's a great ride and I felt very good coming out of T2. I did a number of 100 plus mile rides in training for this event and never felt that the frameset was wearing me out. Many people look upon Alum framesets as being harsh. This isn't always the case. I ride a Trek 2300 for training that is pretty harsh. In comparision my P2K is very comfortable. Frame design and quality have as much to do with the ride of an Alum bike as materials. Also, fit is a huge concern. My Cervelo was fitted perfectly by Transition Sports in California. Fit is everything (*almost). Check out www.slowtwitch.com for a survey of bikes used in Kona....lotsa Cervelos out there.
