How does she compare to Kim at the same age? At the same age (= middle of 2002) Kim was # 5 or thereabouts. Elke is now #450 or something. Her ranking consists partly of points "earned" as a first round loser in WTA events where she got in with a wildcard. Her WTA record is 0-7 (2-14 if you include qualifying, with the two wins coming from first round qualifying in the year 2000 when she was still 15). It doesn't look good really. It also illustrates what a ranking in the 400's actually means. Yet, she takes up spots in tournaments that could go to more deserving youngsters but who don't have the money or backing. In her defence, she has a pleasant sunny personality and never seems to have a worry in the world. Maybe that is because she doesn't. Do we > have the makings of another "sister act" on our hands? I very much doubt it.
