Should have been Beazley.

Proven to be more popular than Howard.

Had more votes than Howard at the 98 election, but not in the right
areas. On the fourth time in history the party with more votes, did
not gain power.

In 2001 the ALP had a massive lead over the falsey named Liberal party
until early September. Then S11, then blatant lies frothing forth from
Howards mouth, then the Tampa incident, then more blatant lies
frothing forth from Howards mouth when he said the boat wasn't
sinking, even though a video proved it was (shame it was released only
the day before the election, not too many people would have seen it)

Beazley would have kicked Little John out of the PM'ship.
