Well yes; that's my point........

Lendl was around in an era where groundstroke power took a backseat to
consistency and trajectory. Certainly he was the hardest-hitting overall
baseliner of the time but this is a long way from saying he overpowered his
opponents. Take away his incredible ability not to make U/E's, his fitness,
and his ability to move opponents around with great placement and he
would've been lucky to make the top 100.

Lendl had a little more on his palette than he's generally given credit for
although he never got fancy. He knew what worked for him.
