The only player who could pose a conistent > > threat to Graf's dominance is taken out and you think Graf suffered? > > So you think Graf was rubbing her hands with glee & wasn't adversely > affected herself? Seriously... Of course Graf had to handle the situation psychologically. She was probably initially shocked just like all the other players were. That put some stress on her, and the other players. But, to compare that middling psychological stress to the *competitive fact* of Seles's absence is absurd. The stress factor might rate as hurting her ability by - 5%, but not having Seles in the draw improved her chances by +100%. Which explains why Graf - who had won 4 slams in the previous 45 months, suddenly won 4 slams over the next 8 months. This is obvious... i should check myself into a loony bin for bothering to argue it... -- "if federal judges have the final word over its meaning, the Constitution would be a mere thing of wax in the hands of the judiciary, which they may twist and shape into any form they please". - Thomas Jefferson
