His drug-use impaired his play which became sluggish and lacking in intensity. He tried to manufacture emotions he'd naturally used to enhance his performances pre-87. As for Becker's perception of Sampras I've learnt from experience not to take ANY notice of player's historical perspectives. They're ignorant in this regard.....
