So...do ex-pats in Scandinavia celebrate Thanksgiving in any fashion?
Not as far as I know, because ex-pats are usually married to a Norwegian, which
means they celebrate according to Norwegian customs mainly. Christmas is much
the same. The fourth of July is celebrated here in a minor way. Americans in
Oslo have a small parade and a big picnic in Frogner Park. Easter is much the
same. Halloween is sort of celebrated in Norway, but Thanksgiving doesn't seem
to get much mention here.
