ASA AWARDS 2005 CHAMPIONSHIPS ASA Press Release ASA Awards 2005 National Championship tournament cities and names Tucson, AZ as host for the 2005 ASA National Meeting ORLANDO, FL â The Amateur Softball Association awarded over 50 cities across the U.S. as host cities for the 2005 ASA National Championships. The bidding took place at the 72nd Annual Council Meeting held in Orlando, FL at the Airport Hyatt Regency Hotel. The state of Alabama was awarded its 300th ASA National Championship and each city in attendance was recognized for their accomplishment. The city of Tucson, Ariz., was designated as the host site for the 2005 ASA National Council Meeting after presenting an impressive bid in front of the ASA Council. ASA code and rule changes will be decided on Thursday as the ASA National Council Meeting continues.
