Temporarily retired :-) Waiting for 03/04 at reasonable prices :-)

At the beginning Dover lacks money even for sending out a scout. You have
to do your best with the players you have, search for players out of
contract, etc. Simple rule - the more troubles initially, the bigger
satisfaction when you've finally won something. As someone has already
said in this thread, managing LFC is not a challenge. And there are only a
few things that beat the moment when you can sit back, relax, smoke a pipe
and check out the milestones of your career :-)

I don't know about versions before 00/01, but in 00/01 IIRC you could
choose from more than 20-something leagues. Including polish II liga. It
lacked Czech and Hungary leagues, though.

Proper use of offensive wing-backs :-) Hats off to Jamie Victory at DL :-)

BTW, take a look at www.hattrick.org. Yes, it's more than simplified, but
it's fun. And you compete against other people :-)

Well, I didn't mean ASCII like in roguelikes, or VT100 :-) Before CM4
there was no this fancy 2D match display, only commentary at the bottom of
the screen.

It's PITA, unfortunately. And there's always not enough time.

M,
