Ok my approach to this answer is going to be a lot different from 
most-people's.  You said STARTING a team, and only two players, so I am 
assuming you are going to be building the rest up slowly, and thus 
really want to start with young players who will be with you throughout 
the building process, and still there when your team is established.

Thus my choices would be among players like Mitea, Van der Vaart, 
Torres, Reyes, Casillas, Johnson, etc. - in their teens or barely out of 
them.

So for fun I'd say Reyes and Van der Vaart.
