Re: Quads making a real comback



That could be the kid who could one day break every inline and roller skate
record, but there are very few companies, organizations or for that matter
speedskaters reaching out to develop the interest and talent.

I am working on an experiment with 4 middle schools (6th thru 8th grades)
in San Francisco.  The idea is to make speedskating an school sport like
footbal, basketball, track and other sports.  In the beginning, the "cooler"
kids wanted quads.  It was funny watching them learn how inlines are faster.
The "nerd" kids were winning. That brought back memories.
