It was rollerskates that enabled me fit in and make friends. Quads are a different kind of skating. I like skating to funky music. Dancing comes much easier and is more fluid than on quads than on blades. However I don't skate my quads on the Friday Night Skate or any really long distances. I have worn a quad on one foot and a blade on the other foot before. I just try to use the right skate for the right job. > > > > After many years, quads are making a big comeback. > > Why? I think people want to dance. They want to do what they see happenning at the Skatin' Place in Golden Gate Park or the Dance Skate Plaza at Venice Beach or on Dead Road in Central Park. Also, there is a perception out there that rollerblading is gay. I'm sorry its like that, but that is what I hear on the streets. Younger people are getting into quads to be cool, hip and different. It's all good to me. I have heard that rollerskating makes a comeback every 20 years. That means it's time!!! D. Miles Jr. The GodFather of Skating
