If those short feet aren't fitting snugly enough, it could affect your ability to lever your toe in the air and jam that brake into the asphalt. You will almost certainly get a more snug fit by installing sport insoles, such as Superfeet or SOLE orthotics. The factory insoles on most brands are thin worthless things with no arch support, so anything you add makes a dramatic difference. Good Luck
