I'm very happy with my Mag Elite3 skates. Just skated 45 miles / 72 km in them today. Favorite feature: Remove the little screw at the back of each heel to allow full forward flex from the ankle -- while retaining the sideways support of the plastic cuff. I had to be pretty aggressive in getting my local shop to heat-mold my pair. At first they claimed it couldn't be done, and second that they didn't know how. Finally they went and found their Salomon heat machine for Salomon downhill alpine ski boots and used that. I like having lots of spare parts available, and for the Salomon TR Mag Elites I've found them easy to order on the web at skates.com. I often go up and down big hills, so I replace a rubber heel brake pad like once a month -- easy to re-order, easy to replace. I heard that somebody in New Jersey successfully switched their Mag Elite3 to a 5-wheel frame. But so far I'm having plenty of fun on the 4-wheel stock frame, so I haven't explored that myself. Ken
