They fit differently and it depends on the shape of your foot. Bob's right when he said " The skate that fits your foot, Fits your foot", but there is a little more detail that can be added. In my experience: Salomons are a little wider for the same size and level of skate than the K2s, if your foot is wide, they will feel larger. Lower level skates are a little wider in both lines. I can't speak about the length, because that is a non-issue for my feet. I have relatively short wide feet. Size 8 is the best fitting size for the K2 Kinetics, Salomon TR8, and Salomon Vitesse III. The Kinetics are very snug side to side, the Vitesse are really perfect, and the TR8s are just a little loose (but not enough to go smaller). I had considered getting the Bont Roadrage (advanced fitness skate that didn't stray in their line long) a few years ago and sent my foot measurements to their rep. He thought that the best fit would be a size 7 since the length would be right and the skate could be heated and pushed wider. If you have long thin feet, it may be that the Salomons actually are shorter from heel to toe than the K2s and that would be your limiting factor for fit. I haven't measured them. -- Bill Fuhrmann Remove DELETE to reply
