The best way to tell is to look at them.
608s have a 22mm (7/8") outer diameter
688s have a 16mm (5/8") outer diameter
698s have a 19mm (3/4") outer diameter
The inner diameter is all the same at 8mm (5/16").
The larger bearings also have larger widths, that is why you need different
spacers if you change bearing sizes.
The total width of the spacer and two bearings has to stay equal.
