Rafael Arutunian

Freestyle, Choreography, Jump Technique

Rafael is a past Soviet National competitor and current National
Russian team coach. Rafael’s coaching career has taken him to England,
working with the British National team, Scotland, Wales and Ireland,
but he has chosen Ice Castle International Training Center as his
permanent US base. Coach Arutunian is the long-time trainer of
two-time Russian National silver medalist Alexander Abt. He has also
worked with Anton Klykov, winner of the gold medal from Nebelhorne
Trophy. Rafael is a strong technical coach and works regularly on quad
jumps, which his students complete frequently in competition.
