In the sense of size or fullness.  If someone performed a quad axle, 
"amplitude" would not be applied to their rotational ability.

1.  Not rotation, as demonstrated above.  Or edging, for that matter.
2.  "SPEED is AMPLITUDE" does not parse to mean what you just said.
