I need to say my bit to the producers or who ever it is that directs the cameras. Please: 1. stop using the pan button when you have a nice centered close up of skaters working in one area, it's just plain distracting and so unnessary; 2. I know you're nervous about keeping the skater centered ( I wish you could watch rehearsals), but long shots make the skater too little to be interesting; 3. an ice show taped live has theatrical lighting that presents taping problems, but the above just makes viewing all the harder. I love to watch skating but was so annoyed at the 'blank' spaces _where I couldn't see the skater and lost the flow of the skater - that I just turned my TV off. Just a quick note to the skaters while I'm at it: I know that black is a good costume color - it's flattering and a good contrast on the ice. . . BUT, when the rink background is also black we can't see your legs and/or torso in many sections. Would red work? Hoping that this reaches the right eyes, Beth
