What is this fascination of pro skaters with featuring nonskating entertainment (e.g., singers/dancers/pianists/rock bands/aerialists/ballet dancers, etc)? Whenever they appeared I found myself thinking "if I wanted to see this I wouldn't have tuned in to an ice skating program". I'm tired of the props on ice and would like to see pure skating, preferably sans generic male/female ballads (loved Gordeeva's skate with the red scarf). Someone please get the message to our pro skaters to drop the props, the angst ridden m/f generic ballads, and show off your beautiful skating with music that won't distract from your outstanding talent.
