Gray should have been sacked as soon as he handed in his hilarious
article the day before the 1999 World Cup semi-final, stating
learnedly that a "huge" win by New Zealand over France - that's right,
fellas, FRANCE!!!!! - was "the only sensible prediction."

These arrogant and ignorant comments of his following the All Blacks'
loss to Australia will come as no surprise to anyone who has suffered
his articles in the Herald over too many years.
