Merely being pedantic the NPC isn't a club competition though is it? 
Its a representative level made up of club players....  to the extent
that the club season takes up the first half to two-thirds of the kiwi
season, and the NPC season takes up the remaining bit with NPC
teams/squads being selexted from the senior first squads of their
Provincial club competition.  At least traditionally.
