Re: Did the All blacks Miss Lomu ?

Well,
In my opinion they missed him and others with the wealth of experience
between them.
However, I always felt that NZ went downhill the second they started playing
the likes of Lomu. I dont mean in terms of standard because they are always
a very formidable team, but in terms of the attitude and mentality.
When go forward doesnt work, theres very little else there. This isn't the
fault of these current players or recent selection, but has been worked on
over many years. No longer does NZ seem a tough side, but one that can be
undone quite effectively.
Players like Lomu were all go forward and very little else. Lets be clear I
think him incredible and the game is much better with him, however I often
get the feeling that work wasn't done on the weaker elements of his game.
Give me Inga the Winger anyday.
