Can anybody seriously now doubt that the >English ZP is the premier rugby competition in the world? Or did RWC03 that >finished a week ago not happen? > It's nothing to do with the club structure and everything to do with the number of SH players working out their retirement in the ZP. Since rugby went pro, English clubs have benefitted far, far more from SH players and coaches than anywhere else in the world. Being exposed to so much talent and skill on a regular basis has raised the standards and the knock on effect for the England team is obvious. Make no mistake - England's current position in world rugby is built on the contributions of ringers and blow-ins as surely as if Team England had poached them itself.
