Flexibility also helps the catch position to be nice and compressed (unless big hooters get in the way!). if you get a chance to double scull with a woman, do it, let them stroke the boat if they're prepared to do so, and learn what a graceful sport this is. if you're married to the aforementioned woman though..... take it from me..... forget it!
