Before you start tinkering with the rigging of the boat, i would go out and practice a few times to see how it works. If it ain't broke there is no point in spending hours trying to set the span etc differently in the 2 seats. In most cases even though the taller bigger person has a longer stroke, they are also able to pull the blade through the water faster, and the timing isn't affected very much. Robin
