Set span, inboards and stretcher positions to allow both to row with
the same arc and then adjust blade length to get the gearing to suit?

Of course, you're sharing a club boat so you better ask before messing
with the rig too much.

You will probably be moving your weight different distances on the
recovery so you'll be pushing/pulling each other around a bit.
