Are they smooth leather or suede? Either way, hose off the dirt, let
them dry naturally, and condition them with a good conditioner. I like
bickmore's Bick4 (IF it's smooth leather). Saddle Soap and other
'cleaners' are meant to clean the leather, but they also remove oils fro
the leather. IF you use Saddle Soap (Bick1 is a liquid version of SS
and easier to use), then let the chaps dry again, and recondition them
with a leather conditioner in order to replace the leather's natural oils.
