ARRGGHHH. (A bit of a rant.)

Yea, so today I ran into a few of them animal-activist sites regarding how
rodeo is inhumane.  Two things really bothers me:

THE FLANK STRAP IS NOT PULLED TIGHT!!!!!!
THE STRAP DOES NOT GO AROUND THE GENITALS!!!!!!

Every single site says that the strap is pulled tight.  I don't know where
or how people get this idea.  I think if these people were to actually go
behind the chutes and see what happens, they'd realize 90% of what they say
about rodeo is wrong.  I mentioned this subject in a number of rooms online
and immediately got responses about how people think the strap goes tight
around the genitals.  Where do people get this idea?  Most have admittedly
never seen or gone to a rodeo, yet they still think the strap is pulled
tight.  Seems you have to search far and wide to find somebody who knows the
truth.

That *really* bothers me.
