I bought my (first) DVD player when I moved to Cary in 2001. When I
bought the player, I had just been graced with a $2000 line of credit at
Best Buy, so I went ahead an dpicked up a few DVD's - the first 4
southparks, and "The Song Remains The Same."

I've watched them once. They're sitting in a box someplace now, out in
what we call the "store building," a brick structure that used to be a
convenience store which sits on my parent's property out here in the
boonies.

When I've had money coming in, I will RENT DVDs for me and the kid to
watch. Since I got my DVD burner, I also use my conventional player to
test my burned DVDs (I've actually had a couple of small jobs with the
digital imaging thing, but nothing to write home about; I think my total
income on that deal has been like $40).

Other than that, it's just an MP3/CD player that I use when, for whatever
reason, I can't play them on my PC.

There ARE some DVDs I would LIKE to buy - the director's cut of Natural
Born Killers; the Flair DVD; director's cuts of the Airplane movies if
they're ever released; Zeppelin's new DVD. I've archived a few of my
wrestling tapes to DVD, but being short on cash and trying to run a
business, I'm holding back on using much of my blank stock. And of
course the aborted RSPW 'Con 95 DVD, but I never even burned that, and
deleted the project from my PC in disgust and disappointment when tha
whole soap opera got wound up. I also downloaded some beavis and
butthead eps that I burned to VCD (which my DVD player handles).
