http://www.nwatna.com/interact/professor/2003/11/17/professor.shtml 11.17.03 | For several weeks there has been chaos and confusion surrounding the X Division and the Tag Team Division in TNA. This Wednesday (11/19/03) we'll answer all those questions and we'll offer another wild Clockwork Orange House Of Fun Weapons Match. In addition, former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion A.J. Styles will face arguably the toughest physical challenge of his career when he meets the 6'8" 300 plus pound unpredictable masked monster Abyss. There's never been a question about the power and strength advantage that Abyss has in most of his matches. Add the services of TNA Management Consultant Don Callis to the equation and Abyss should be unstoppable. Callis' rival in the battle for political power and clout, NWA Director Of Authority Erik Watts, stepped up to the plate last Wednesday and made the Clockwork Orange Match that will pit the new three man Redshirt Security Team (Kevin Northcutt, Ryan Wilson and Legend) against Watts, The Sandman and the man whose sick mind invented the stipulations behind the bout, Raven. We'll determine the number one contender to the X Division Champion Michael Shane in the third, and final, phase of the Triple Chance Invitational. The three way match will see the mysterious masked man, X, against Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels and Sonjay Dutt. X's brutal post-match attacks last week certainly sent a message to Daniels and Dutt, and probably weakened their chances as well. We'll also finally have Glen Gilberti's team of Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger defend their NWA Worlds Tag Team Titles against Three Live Kru's Ron "The Truth" Killings and B.G. James, who were winners in last Wednesday's Tag Team Gauntlet For The Gold. 3LK believes that Konan's presence at ringside will be the great equalizer to Gilberti. And, how will NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett react to Jimmy Hart's update on the condition of Hulk Hogan? Join us this Wednesday night, exclusively on PPV, for two solid hours of Total Non Stop Action! We invite your questions and comments to [EMAIL PROTECTED] We remind you that Mike Tenay cannot answer every question or reply personally because of the large volume of e-mail. Please include your hometown city and state (or country, if outside the U.S.). Let's go to the electronic mailbag once again: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: KYSOUKE Where is Bret Hart? I know he has to be doing something with his career. ANSWER: I know we've answered this question several times before. The number of times I receive it (from different people) drives home the point that the masses are not aware that Bret suffered a stroke in June, 2002. In addition to his rehab work in the recovery from the stroke, Bret is writing his autobiography. It will not only include his career story, but also his take on the history of the wrestling business and it's expected to be released in three or four volumes. While not making many public appearances lately, Bret did sign autographs last weekend in San Francisco at a fan convention with Jim Neidhart, Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel and Bob Orton Jr. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: TAL (JERUSALEM, ISRAEL) I'm a girl and a huge fan of TNA. I watch every weekend. Why are America's Most Wanted fighting among themselves? They are a perfect team. ANSWER: It's great to hear from you and the international scope of TNA is amazing! The TNA shows that you are watching, in Israel, are airing on a several month delayed basis. Chris Harris and James Storm had some minor communication problems a while back, but they're back on the same page in their quest to become four time NWA Worlds Tag Team Champs. Thanks for the interest and keep watching TNA! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: MATT WEINSTEIN IWho was the masked wrestler in the Orient Express some years back in WWF? ANSWER: Pat Tanaka's masked tag team partner Kato, in the WWF, was Paul Diamond. The two were AWA Worlds Tag Team Champions in 1988 when Diamond wrestled without the mask. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: MANDY I've followed TNA since the beginning. Whatever happened to former Rocker Marty Jannetty? ANSWER: I believe that Jannetty is living in Florida, where I occassionally see his name in independent results although not lately. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: TOM JOHNSON (MONTELLO, WISCONSIN) I was wondering if Wildcat Chris Harris was the NWO Sting? ANSWER: I'm presuming you saw the photo that was linked to Jeremy Borash's column. Chris Harris was ONE of the NWO Stings or Fake Stings that were sighted at various times. The person that was used most often in the role was Jeff Farmer who also wrestled as Cobra in WCW. Farmer actually took the look to the Orient and wrestled in New Japan. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: DENNY TAYLOR I watch TNA every week. Do you think you'll have anymore hardcore matches? ANSWER: How much more hardcore do you want than the Clockwork Orange Six Man Tag that will air this Wednesday night? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: ELI I don't know if anyone has ever asked this question before, but who was Buddy Lee Parker's partner in the Highway Patrol team from WCW in the early 90s? ANSWER: No, that's a first. Sgt. Buddy Lee Parker and Lt. James Earle Wright were the State Patrol. Parker was heavily involved in the training of Bill Goldberg at WCW's Power Plant. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: STEVE You and Don West are doing a great job every week. Any word on the 3 hour special PPV that was originally scheduled for November 30? ANSWER: This is a question that was asked of me several times this past weekend at the CSWF wrestling event in New Jersey. No, there's not an official date yet. I'd look for the Bound For Glory PPV to probably be broadcast in February, 2004. We'll have an update on Hulk Hogan's condition this Wednesday on the TNA PPV. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: ROGER KNEPP Are Super Crazy or Vader in TNA's future plans? ANSWER: Super Crazy and Vader have appeared on TNA PPVs. Haven't heard if TNA officials will be bringing them back. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: RODRIGO ARANSAY (MEXICO) What TNA wrestlers are going to be at the AAA event on November 28? ANSWER: I've heard that X Division Champ Michael Shane and David Young may appear at the event. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FROM: NUNU DIMA (ROMANIA) I was a great fan of WCW. Now I'm following the NWA TNA action via the internet. Any chance to see Bret Hart competing in TNA? ANSWER: I told you the Bret Hart story needed to be told (See first question for answer, Nunu). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mike Tenay [EMAIL PROTECTED]
