Dow Jones Business News Lewmar/World Wrestling: Related To Wrestler's Death Monday October 27, 5:11 pm ET KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Dow Jones)--Lewmar Ltd.'s insurers agreed to pay World Wrestling Entertainment $9 million to a settle lawsuit related to the 1999 death of Owen Hart, a wrestler who fell to his death during a stunt. In January, World Wrestling said a Missouri court ruled that the no-money settlement between Martha Hart and Lewmar Inc. was invalid. The ruling allowed World Wrestling to pursue the cost of its $18 million settlement with Hart's family from the U.K.-based maker of marine deck equipment and systems. In a press release Monday, Lewmar said its insurers decided to settle based on their own commercial considerations, and the settlement isn't an admission of liability by Lewmar. Because the settlement will be paid by the insurers, it won't affect the company's bottom line, Lewmar said.
