Hello, Here is the official year ends ballot guys. Myself, along with the help of Bob Morris, is running the shindig this year. For the fed heads on this list/forums, please send it to your feds lists as well. Hopefully everyone will get it that way. Walls TABLE OF CONTENTS ================= 1. Who the...? 2. What is this mess? 3. What are the rules? 4. Deadlines?! ETA?! 5. Ballot <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> 1. Who the...? Wallie Desruisseaux. I currently run NEO(-Pro) and have since 2000. I have handled everywhere with varying degrees of success with a myriad of characters. My more well known characters are November, Rosco Riggins, HERO Ishikawa, Angel Demente and Kill Army. People will tell you there aren't many people who follow more feds then me, that's probably true. Why do this? It's the one thing in e-w I haven't done I suppose. Should be fun. Bob Morris. I was once the fedhead of LEW, but closed up shop to help out with match writing for other feds. Still handling a bunch of characters in several different feds, probably more characters than most other handlers have. People are probably most familiar with John Shock, The Privateers, "British Bad Girl" Lisa Drake and "Superstar" Stephanie Harper. I had given some thought to doing the year ends, but when Wallie spoke up first and asked for anyone interested in helping out, I volunteered. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> 2. What is this mess? It's the year end awards/top 200 ballot. Everything on it should be pretty self explanatory, so I'll only qualify those categories that might stand out: the worst of the worst. I decided to include Worst Wrestler on the ballot to give everyone to speak out about characters they just don't like, and think others should look out for. The Worst Handler/Match Writer categories are included for the some of the same reasons; this is your opportunity to tell others about those in the game who do more harm than good. People who fall into the "Worst Handler" category would be those handlers who demand big pushes in return for not roleplaying, cause unrest among the handlers in the fed either through the blatant ignorance or egomaniacal attitude, etc, etc. Someone in the "Worst Match Writer" category would be someone who turns their matches in weeks late and only after hours of pestering, writers who completely ignore instructions, and writers are just so bad that you can't help but wonder if they've ever watched a wrestling match before. The "Most Overrated" category has more to do with characters you might enjoy, but don't think deserve as much of a push as they have been receiving. It was included in this ballot to go along with the "Most Underrated" category, and is not meant to be negative but more constructive criticism for the fedheads/handlers involved. "Best Non-Affliated Supercard/PPV" covers the Wrestlebowls, Super Slams, and the like of e-wrestling. Lengthy shows wholly independent of any promotion. "Best Summary Style Fed" covers the burgeoning field started by Oita Pro Wrestling of late. Oita Pro, P*WIN/R-Type, MMLL, SSPW, Kitty! Visual, etc, etc, etc would all be the kind of feds included in this. Please try and vote for more then one fed. Most of us do follow several. Voting every category full from one fed is spamming in our opinion. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> 3. What are the rules? A new one to kick it off. I want the people to put down who they are, where they handle and whom. As I said before, I follow a crap load of feds. I know my stuff... and hate spamming. We'll be keeping a distinct eye on this. It's pretty simple, really- vote. Every vote counts. From my own past experience, I realize it might be hard to complete some categories, so I'm not going to be too critical about that unless an entire ballot only has one or two people in each category, in which case it'll be thrown out. In each category, list your top five. Nothing more. Every category in the Year End section of the awards is a straight-up tally. The winner and 5 runner-ups will be announced, and honorable mentions will be included if the numbers warrant it. For the Top 200, I ask you to vote on your 20 favorite wrestlers (1 being the highest, 20 being the lowest), and points will be assigned according to the corresponding rankings in each ballot. If all of the ballots fail to generate more than 200 wrestlers, I'll set a lower maximum and make it the Top 150 or 175 or what have you. If more than 200 are voted for, I'm going to cut if off at 201 and list the rest, in no particular order, as honorable mentions (within reason- there won't be 35 honorable mentions, for example). All ballots must be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] The final tally will be doublechecked (the names of the volunteers will be included in future postings of this FAQ -- if you would like to help me out, let me know). If I have any reason to suspect that someone is trying to spam the awards, all suspect ballots will be thrown out. Finally, and most importantly, make sure you include the federation(s) of the characters you vote for, and in the case of "Best Non-Affliated Supercard", the person or persons responsible for putting the show on. If you vote for characters/feds/etc, obviously retired before this year, those votes will not be included. <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> 4. Deadlines?! ETA?! All ballots are due on 01/1/04. I'm going to do my best to keep a running tally throughout the voting period, releasing the results at a date and time to be decided. The results of the Year Ends will be released on IRC; the top 200 will be posted directly to RSPWF. All concerns can be sent to [EMAIL PROTECTED] <><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> 5.
