There's a surprise. He admitted he lied to the police, Buse. I know the facts that have been reported and I've formed an opinion based on those facts. Like I said, innocent men rarely lie to the police during the course of a murder investigation. > > The fact of the matter is, he's a good little receiver... but look out > > that window. *inside joke* There's any number of good little receivers > > in the league that will come play for you and give you *far* less > > trouble than Keyshawn. Smith, Harrison, etc) and he pales in comparison to the all-time greats (Rice, Largent, Carter, even Irvin). Like I said, he's a good little receiver, but he's far from one of the NFL's elite. > > Nothing to hurt his team? McFarland and Rice draw the doubleteams this season, not Sapp. > And if you're going to talk numbers, with Warren Sapp, then you're > talking the wrong category. You'd better check that before you make that statement, Buse. Think this is the first time I've argued Sapp's merits with someone? You know better than that. I can quote them for you if you'd like, but I'll give you a chance to retract before I do that. ;) > > Stupid > > penalties (like the roughing call that put Indy at mid-field and led > > to a TD in their comeback win over TB), off-the-field idiocy, you get > > it all with Sapp. And as far as his heart, he told you all you need to > > know about his motivation in that softball interview he did when CBS > > tried to make a fucking martyr out of him. No, Buse, that's not respect. I respect a man that realizes when he's said something stupid and WRONG and he apologizes for it. > The system is designed to be one in which the > owners make a shitload and the players get paid quite well. You heard a black man mention slavery, > and you teed off. Nothing against that, but that's just reality. Don't, Buse. The man compared playing football for millions of dollars per year to being beaten, raped, and forced to labor for little to no compensation. It was a STUPID thing to say and the fact that he was black is irrelevant. > > And as > > far as "sole franchise player", he's not even the best player on that > > defense. Got no arguement here, but Sapp has been the heart and > sole of that team for years. Again, we're talking intangibles here, and it's impossible to argue intangibles. His stats are average at best, but he's popped off at the mouth enough to be considered a "superstar". He's media-created, Buse, he's not the real deal. > > Sapp is an overrated, selfish jerk and the media loves him. *That* is > > why I hate Warren Sapp. > > > > Greg > > Overrated might be one opinion, but a selfish jerk and random opinions > over someone you have no idea about personally, just leads this battle > we've had for years right back in a circle :) I don't have to know him personally, Buse. His VERY public actions and comments are enough. > - Think the Rangers can actually sign a pitcher? A pitcher? Yeah. A credible starter? Probably not. :( Greg
