As I posted earlier, coaches aren't apt to > take kindly to our "making" them kick off to start both halves (accidentally, > that is). But, THIS ISN'T YOUR FAULT!!! Any coach who even begins to chew ME out because his captain either didn't know, or couldn't follow, his instructions would be DQ'ed on the spot, and then the Game Report to State will recommend lunch with the Commissioner. The Commission will LUV this, since the coach will pick up the tab because he's making an extra $50K/season for coaching. > And make no mistake -- they WILL blame us, no matter > who actually screwed up. And make no mistake, I'll run their ASS right off the field, and into the locker room, where he can count his money while we play the game. > We won't (in that coach's eyes) be able to do anything right > for the rest of the night. Yes, but he'll be watching it on television from his RV. :^) > So, I take measures to prevent this from happening. If you like taking steps to prevent irrational misconduct, go for it. > It's not really coaching on my part. I just make sure that the > coach, the speaking captain and I are all on the same page. There's nothing wrong with this, just as long as the coach is not calling the toss or giving you the options instead of the captain. > If someone doesn't like it -- sue me. It sounds like these coaches might do exactly that, if you should ever fuck-up their toss, instead of him or his kids. Do you tell the QB when his coach wants him to run, pass or take a sack when under a heavy rush? If not, why is this different? %^) -- Scott
