Well, I can't speak directly to diabetes, but for endurance sports they
make electrolyte capsules (which I used during my Ironman race last
fall). The product I used is called "Endurolytes," by Hammer.
This won't help with energy--no carbs--but it will help stave off
electrolyte depletion.
