Scott, this is what I'm talking about. In this statement, the word
"options" does not refer to "defer" since they say they have the choice
of options (kick, receive, defend a goal) OR they can defer.
Clearly, defer IS an option, it's just not what's being referred to by
the word "options" in that sentence.
So, in semantics-land, the guy has an argment. But in the real world. .
