I hoping it's laid back compared to unlimited motorcross.  I raced a 
500cc Maco for a couple of years, broke most of the bones in my then 
young body, moved to AA Fuelies for Mid-City Chevrolet and turned a few 
7.10's before putting it into the guards when the engine grenaded and 
the chute was damaged so hopefully it's a little less intense.  And hey, 
maybe non-shifer is the way to go to start (certainly $1500 is a whole 
lot cheaper than PWC racing - we've spent easily 20K on the ride Scott 
rode to 2nd in the finals in 97 and more than that on skis that never 
won!).  I would just like to do it for the fun of it.  I autocross my 
Miata in the winter, ride skis for much of the summer but have a lot of 
free time now that I'm a college professor and would like the comradarie 
that comes from most motorsports.  I'll look up some events, attend, 
talk to the racers and if you still have that package, may be interested 
as it might fit my "abilities" a little better than a 100mph shifter. 
Thanks for the info.  Did you race the kart?  If so, then I know there's 
hope in that sport for us old farts (LOL).
