That phrase was a Danny Gallivan expression, like "scintillating save" and some others. He used alliteration frequently. Denis Savard played in Chicago for the majority of his career, with only a short stop in Montreal. He was another of Sam Pollock's mistakes. Pollock could have drafted Denis Savard, but instead took Doug Wickenheiser. His rationale was that Savard was too small to be a star in the NHL. Sam Pollock took the Montreal Canadiens into a nose-dive that they've never been able to recover from. Regards. RAF
