I was thinking more along the lines of "Members of the media do not wish to
openly criticize the performance of a black QB at this time because said member
of the media could be singled out for racism, so instead they praise the black
QB's performance."  I think the wounds from the Rush incident are still raw and
the media is not in any hurry to go after any black QB.  Besides that, Dallas
is probably headed to the playoffs this season, so even though Carter is not
having a great season, he must be doing something right.
