>Are Tom Flores and Mike Holmgren better coaches than Marv Levy? Maybe >the better question is: are four Super Bowl losses better than one win >amidst relative mediocrity? > > An argument could almost be made for Flores, who won two in four years. The fact that neither Flores or Holmgren were able to move on to Seattle and put them into a Super Bowl works against their legacies. I think if Holmgren had stayed in Green Bay he probably would have won at least one and possibly two more Super Bowls in the Favre era. I would not call either Tom Flores or Mike Holmgren to be mediocre. Who was the worst coach ever to win a Super Bowl? Probably Don McCaffery, who led the Colts to the Super Bowl V and is the only deceased SB winning head coach besides Lombardi and Tom Landry. (That would make a great trivia question) Second worst is probably a tie between Bellichek and Brian Billick, both of whom are pretty good coaches. Michael O'Connor - Modern Renaissance Man "The likelihood of one individual being correct increases in a direct proportion to the intensity with which others try to prove him wrong" James Mason from the movie "Heaven Can Wait".
